Are You Marketing Your Commercial Cleaning Services Or Just Advertising?

So you have decided to start a commercial cleaning business and you are steadily getting a job here and a job there. However, your expenses are getting higher as you have to buy more and more equipment and products. You sit in your home office night after night trying to work out how to get more work and hopefully some lucrative contracts. You are knocking on doors, making phone calls and maybe even networking to some degree but it doesn't seem to be enough. What are you missing? The answer might be as simple as doing some simple marketing.

There is much more to marketing than advertising your cleaning services. Marketing never stops at the first inquiry you might get. That is just when it starts.

The basic idea is that you have to give people a reason to use your cleaning services and keep on giving them a good reason to keep you. You have to quickly follow up inquiries, give a quote, show them how you can help them to get over their office cleaning issues and more importantly follow up after the quote.

Take the customer by the hand, and give them a reason why they should use your commercial cleaning business for their office cleaning needs. You also need to give them a reason to pay you what you're asking. But remember, if you are marketing your business correctly, then it not always about the price you are charging for your services. That is what marketing is in a nutshell. Sales and marketing are two different facets of your business. Advertising your business can be either a seasonal thing or something you do out of necessity but marketing your business should happen each and every day and to each and every one of your commercial cleaning contracts or clients.

If you are not already in the habit of marketing your business, give it a go and start to think in those terms. Your business growth and survival in this competitive commercial cleaning business environment depends on it.
